Thursday, September 26th at Sundown
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations even these are my feasts. These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
Passover: In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord’s Passover. This month shall me unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year unto you. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the of their fathers, a lamb for an house. After two days was the feast of the Passover. and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. Ye know that after two days is the feast of the Passover, and the Son of man is to be betrayed to be crucified. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born. But the precious blood of Christ as a lamb without blemish, and without spot. And the blood shall be a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood of, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
Feast of Unleavened Bread: And on the fifteenth day of the first month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread, In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation: Ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: Ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day shall ye shall put away leaven out of your houses:
Consequences of Disobedience: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bead, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
Day of Pentecost: And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye become into the land which I give unto you, and shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an lamb without blemish of the year for a burnt offering unto the Lord. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the self same day that ye have brought an offering unto your Lord God; it shall be a statue forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering.
Day of Pentecost, and What it Points to: But now Christ is risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, til he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
The Memorial Blowing of the Trumpets: And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation, Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.
The Memorial Blowing of the Trumpets, and What it Points to: Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, til we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed, and there sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand, Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand, Of the tribe of A’ser were sealed twelve thousand, Of the tribe of Nep-tha-lim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manas’-ses were sealed twelve thousand, Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand, Of the tribe of Is’-sa-char were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Za’bu-lon were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand, of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand, And this I beheld, and , lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice saying, SALVATION TO OUR GOD WHICH SITTETH UPON THE THRONE AND UNTO THE LAMB.
The Seven Trumpets: And seven angels which had seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of trees were burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed, And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten,
and the third part of the stars; so the third part of them were darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: And to him was given the key of the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth; and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded then that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared, for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD ARE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD, AND OF HIS CHRIST; AND HE SHALL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER.
Day of Atonement: And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, also on the tenth day of the seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God. For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statue forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even to even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath. And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, against any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from his wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, muchmore, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Feast of Tabernacles: And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ue shall offer an offering made by fir unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall di no servile work therein. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit unto the Lord, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs off goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and the willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in a year. It shall be a statue forever in all your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
The Feast of Tabernacles, and What it Points to: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away their tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimestone: which is the second death.
